My little rosebud.

My sweet daughter and friend.
Love to see you blossom into a young woman!

Painting by Cindy Landi for my kitchen

We also redecorated/painted our kitchen and hallway this spring/summer.
I found this painter on e-bay and she has created a painting that includes our home, town and family.
Her name is Cindy Landi. She did a wonderful job!!!!!
In this painting you can see the picture of our house in the middle and various town sites.
When we were trying to come up with what to include, I wanted to have our family put into it.
She has Rachel at the bottom with the wagon, me in the flower cart, my husband, Scott, chopping wood and my son, Alan, in the upper left side coming back from fishing.
I also wanted to put the grandmother's into the painting.  She put my mother's favorite activities, crafts, on a building to the right and my mother-in-laws Pies in the town hall.  Rachel loves to read books so we put a book nook with her name in it.  I love coffee and chocolate so my store is in there as well.  We have a big fair in Deerfield every year so put the fairgrounds in the back.  The little school house represents where I work as a school nurse.
I thought it turned out so great.  Very happy with the results.

Alan in the upper left and Scott on the lower left.
My "playhouse" is even in the picture!!!
School and fairgrounds in the back.

School bulliten boards 1 and 2

When you are a nurse, teaching healthy habits is a given!!!!  :)
Two of my bulliten boards I created for the school.
Number 1
I used my spellbinders for the flowers, sunflowers with leaves and used my cricut for the blue flowers and the lettering.  I cut and pieced the rooster by enlarging it from a computer picture and made it look quilted.  The rest of the design is cut out by hand.
When I took this down, the lunch ladies took the picture and now wear the picture on their school shirts in the morning when they serve breakfast.
Number 2
I used my cricut for this board.  The smaller spiders were a punch from Martha Stewart.

Alan's Accident

Alan passed his driver's test in May!
New car from dad and mom!
3 weeks later!  :(
No serious injuries, just burns from the airbag and sprained arm.
Very scared!  Thankful for the fact that we still can hug him!
Life can change so fast!

Rachel's Tree House

Rachel gave up her playhouse to me so I had to create a spot for her to enjoy!
I love roses and bling, she can't stand them!
We worked together and this is what we came up with.
The tree house used to be my son's pirate ship but he hasn't used it in a long time.
This is a sign from when Alan used the tree house.  Probably won't be on the door for much longer.
Rachel loves to use the zip-line that is connected to the tree house and to the other end of the yard.  She will always be my little thrill seeker! :)
She wanted a "New York City Apt." look.
We used sheets and shower curtains to cover the walls.
She wanted to hang lanterns on the ceiling but we kept hitting our heads on them and finally took them down.
She saw this picture at Wal-Mart and this is how the whole theme came together.
She loves Orchids and modern design.  I thought it would be hard to design this but so glad how it turned out.
She also has battery lanterns in her tree house as there is no power to it.

My playhouse:)

No matter how old you are-playhouses are still fun!!
I redecorated Rachel's fairy house this summer and made it my own.
When we put the patio landscaping in, I requested some landscaping around the playhouse!!
I saw this little girl and just had to have her!

I even have a chandelier that is battery operated!!
No electricity in the playhouse.

I love Christy Repasy's rose paintings, now I have one all to myself!
Dreams Do Come True!

Flowers at the door.

Patio pictures

We worked on our backyard this summer.
Here are some pictures from one of the projects.
My new deck.  Larger and new railing.

We are still trying to get the grass to grow.
I had fun going to a garden center and creating my pots for the patio.

Bluebird Album

Another journal from my cinch machine.
This one I gave as a birthday gift.
I used the die from Cottage Cutz and added my own flowers and leaves.
The other dies are from Nesabilities and Magnolia.
I added shadows and color with my Copic markers.

Journal for my mom.

I bought a Cinch Binder over the summer and now I am creating journals for gifts.
This one I made for my mom.  I used ALOT of Mod Podge!  :)
I covered a chipboard with paper and used handmade flowers and Prima birdhouses.
This is the front of the journal with the binding on the left side.
