Mother's Day 2012

My gift from my husband every year is to let me buy flowers for my yard.
A gift he knows I will love and he doesn't have to worry about the fit!!

fairy party

Every year I host a fairy party at my house.  We create our own fairy pots and the only requirement is to bring flowers to share.
My friends and craft group that I meet with every month.
Busy with our plantings

While we work on the pots, the kiddos create a kingdom in my backyard.

I'm still here!!!

Hello!! I'm still here!  Not only has the computer been "on vacation", I have been overwhelmed with the busy life I lead.  We put a new ceiling in the basement, redecorated the kitchen, repainted the hallway enterance, put in a new deck, patio and raised gardens, and all while trying to work.  We have had company from Alaska, Maine, and Canada.  Gone to two church conventions.  Delt with a car accident that totaled my son's new car, and recooped from a radical hysterectomy.  So, now the summer is over and I am dealing with new students, outdated medical records and looking forward to Christmas vacation!! LOL!
I have done a few projects these last few months but my computer doesn't want to download my pictures!!  Hopefully I can get caught up before it gets too overwhelming!!  Lisa

Thank you cards

There isn't anything like it when your friends come together and show support!
This last two weeks I have been recovering from surgery and my friends have brought in meals and sent kind and caring thoughts.  Makes my heart smile.  Since I couldn't do much, I colored!!  :)  Now I finished some thank you cards to give to my friends.  Here is the first batch.  All alike, but easier to put together once the first one is made.

This is what the front of the card looks like.

This is a tri-fold card.  I will try and get all three sections.
Above is the front.
Below is the first fold.
Below is the inside of the card.

Chocolate Bunny Card

I haven't been posting lately as I have had surgery.  I am feeling better and now I am getting my groove back!!! :)  March brought colds and the flu.   I have finally caught the card-making bug!!!! :)

My Favorite Easter Bunny!!!!
CHOCOLATE!   YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Materials used:
Magnolia Tilda bunny stamp, My chocolate bunny verse didn't have a name.  I have had it for awhile.
Lace:  My stash
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts
Pin: My dear friend Joanna Johnson from Etsy
Supplies used:  My Easter cartridge from Cricut
K and Company paper, cardstock

I wanted the inside to look like a decorated egg but my verse covered up most.  Oh well!!
I'm sure my friend Alice will enjoy the low fat card!
She will be having us for Easter dinner so I thought this would make a nice thank you card.
