Hand braided rug from Nana

My mother-in-law creates hand braided rugs.  She goes to the thrift shops and finds coats, strips them and uses them for her rugs.  The rugs are so thick and soft.  I feel so lucky that she has made me this one for my kitchen.

Picture of Nana and her creation.
Our table set up and ready for company!

LOTV Baby Boy card #2

This card uses Graphic 45 papers, magnolia dies, nestabilities, distress inks and the rest from my craft stash.
If you ever get a chance to see the Graphic 45 papers, you would love everyone of them!!!  They are high quality, great designs and rich coloring.  I have fallen in love with their papers.

LOTV Baby boy card #1

One of two baby boy cards.
I colored the stamps with distress inks over Thanksgiving and never knew that two little boys would be added to the world!
Wish I could give them a squeeze, but my arms don't reach far enough!:(
This card is made with Graphic 45 papers, magnolia dies, nestabilities, cherry lynn paper lace and blue moon charms.

Winter houses

I saw a picture on the internet with an altered winter house and thought!.......I can do that!
After a trip to the craft store, I created my own houses!
I added a battery operated tea light to make the "windows" glow:).
I found some "snow" in a bag and layered it on with watered down glue and a paintbrush.  The wreaths were part of a Christmas clearance.  I took off the red bows and added my own with pink beads.  The snowman was also in the clearance bin and I painted the bow pink and glued some pearls and "holly branches" to the hat.
After finishing this house, I decided to create two more!  :)
This is how they started.
I painted them inside and out with white paint.  I then put a second coat on with the pearlized color paint.  I couldn't find any snowmen so I painted some gold deer from the store with white paint and covered it with glitter.
Here are my finished projects.
The pink one I gave to my mother-in-law and the blue one I gave to my mom.
