working with distress inks

I recently purchased Tim Holtz distress inks.  Here are my first attempts.
Harder than I thought to work with.  Love my Copic markers but fun to try new techniques.
We spent our Thanksgiving at camp so I had some free time to play.
New Lili of the Valley stamps as well. :)
My daughter took this one as a bookmarker.  Guess that is the ultimate complement from a teenager!!:)
Not quite done, need to add pearls and glitter.  I need to finish with the face.  Sure didn't come out like I wanted.  Hopefully it will all look ok when I get the card finished.

Hopefully the cards won't take to long to make.
To be continued!!!  :)

October Breast Cancer Bulliten Board

My bulliten board for the school to promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
The teachers, staff and children could fill out a pink ribbon with a name of friend or family that experienced breast cancer.
On the last day of the month, October 31st, the classroom that wore the most pink received a fruit basket arrangement for their snack.
I found the pattern for the girl on a blog for Bo-Bunny paper.
I enlarged it by 400% in order to get it the right size.
I used the breast cancer cricut cartridge to create the words and ribbons.

Edible Arrangements from Manchester, NH donated 2 large fruit baskets.
They were a hit with the kids!!!!!!

Magnolia Tilda Thinking of you card

When my good friend had surgery, I made her a card to
 help cheer her up!!:)
I hand rolled the roses.  The sentiments are from Lili of the Valley.

New baby card

My first baby card.
Fun and sweet!
I used Maryanne carriage die and Graphic 45 paper.
I tried to use perfect pearls on the carriage but the photo doesn't show it very well.

Inside the card, I think this is a cherry lynn dye.

Bridal Shower Party Favors

I made some shower favors for some friends this fall.  There were two parties.  I hosted one at my home.  Enjoy.
The cake table.  The theme for the wedding was grandma's button jar and vintage fall.
The cake.
The centers of the flowers were images of vintage buttons.
Party favors for the girls.
The second bridal shower was all pastels and silvers.  I made dresses, shoes and purses for the party.

The back and front of the shoes.
I found this pattern on line.
